So it has been a while.

This is a good thing because it means we are busy.  We are in the midst of completing several significant deals.  thanks to all of our followers for getting us to this point.

A Warning!!!  DO NOT SHIP ANYTHING OF VALUE VIA FED EX!!!!!  Two broken items within 25 hours. Sneaky on the insurance.  If you are shipping something, definitely shop around and find someone who knows haow to take proper precautions.  We used FedEx in the past without incident but this is too much!!

Springtime

Well, it has been a while due some minor but annoying technical difficulties.  But we are back and going stronger than ever!

We have a couple deals in the works that we will be happy to share (brag about!) when they are complete.  We have also begun to offer something very special I “discovered” on a trip nearly a year ago.  They are true functional art — pieces of finely woven cloth woven by Berber women 70 — 90 years ago to use as scarves, to wrap their babies, etc.  When matted and framed, they make stunning art.  I wil TRY to attach a photo or two and if you have any questions, let us know.

2010…here we go

Well, it has been a while since I could add to this blog (“Hello…hello,hello,..Is anybody out there? Holidays, Marrakech and Pink Floyd — where else are you going to get that mix?) but I am back after an all too brief trip to Barcelona.  To those of you who have not been there, go there.  Buenos Aires used to be my pick but BCN is jumping to the front.  Of course, Marrakech will ALWAYS be my first pick but I may have missed that one.  Here is my best advice, and it is very, very do-able — go through BCN to Marrakech.  3 days in BCN, 3 or more in Marrakech = a lifetime of memories.  No way you will not think it was worth it.  If you are interested, contact me through this site and I will share my knowledge and make it better than a guidebook would.  A lot better.

The world is waiting for you. Pack a bag, shrug your shoulders and say “Why not?”

Then go.

The trip back was a lot more like “Midnight Run” than I was used to, but some zealot on a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit (first of all, who does THAT??!!) slowed things down.

Still travel.  Still see the world.  Still chat with someone who has no idea what you are saying but sees the smile in your eyes.  People are people.

This is my ‘10 wish for all.

Well, it is almost here and, as usual, the holidays become a bit  frantic and can seem like a deadline.  Shopping, celebration, travel can all conspire to add pressure.  But please take some time to enjoy.
